Relay Marathon

Route

In the relay marathon, four runners divide the marathon course into four sections of different lengths:

Runner 1 runs approx. 15,1 kilometers from Niedernhall up the river Kocher to Künzelsau and through the vineyards in constant ups and downs with great views back to Niedernhall to the transition zone.

Runner 2 starts there. 7,7 kilometers from Niedernhall to Weißbach, then up to Büschelhof and with stunning scenery over the Kocherberg back down into the Kocher valley to Forchtenberg, where the second transition zone is set up after the Kocher bridge.

The section for runners 3 is approx. 12,4 kilometers long. It leads from Forchtenberg above the Kochertal road, slightly hilly, to Ernsbach. There you run a loop through the village below the vineyards and then back to Forchtenberg on the cycle path heading upstream.

Runner 4 has the shortest and topographically easiest section to run at approx. 7 kilometers. After a lap through the old town of Forchtenberg, the route follows the Kochertal cycle path along the river to Weißbach and on to the finishline in Niedernhall.

Safety
For safety reasons, the use of walking poles and baby joggers is not permitted, nor may participants be accompanied by people on bicycles.
