Information about the event

You will find information about the event, the accompanying program, and the program sequence here.

The festival grounds and the event tent in the start/finish area will once again be the center of numerous activities for athletes and visitors.

There are fun & games for the whole family, a colorful show program between the award ceremonies, and childcare for the younger runners (from three years and from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM).

Many local clubs will provide food for the body, and the race mass will start at 8:00 AM on Sunday.

A varied program will be held on the stage in the ebm‑papst tent between the award ceremonies of the overall winners.

Award ceremonies

In the ebm‑papst tent there will be an exciting and varied show program between the award ceremonies!

The award ceremony for the Nordic Walking team classification and Recreational run will take place on September 07, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the start-finish area.

On Sunday, September 08, 2024, the following disciplines will be honored in the ebm‑papst tent:

  • The first six overall winners (m/f) in the marathon, half-marathon, 10-km run, handcycle, and inline race
  • The first three winners in the categories overall winners, women duo / woman relay and mixed duo / mixed relay in the duo marathon and relay marathon
  • The first three overall winners of each discipline in the kids' races
  • The largest runners team (evaluation by kilometers run)
  • The largest inline team (evaluated by number of runners)

The first three winners of the age groups in the marathon, half-marathon, and 10-km race will receive their certificates and prizes at the booth next to the stage in the ebm‑papst tent. As soon as all participants in the relevant discipline are at the finish line, the prizes can be collected there. The lists of the age group winners will be displayed both in the hall and in the tent. Please note that we cannot send the prizes that are not collected by 5:00 PM.

Sponsor run

The sponsor run of the ebm‑papst Marathon has become a tradition.

ebm‑papst will again donate 1€ for every lap run by children up to 10 years old.

Do you need energy for your race on Sunday? For € 8.00 there's all the pasta you can eat on Saturday. You can tank up on energy with atmospheric music.

For many years, the running trade show has been a major part of the ebm‑papst Marathon and it has amazed visitors with an extensive range of products relating to running, expert advice, and low prices. Well-known manufacturers offer their products at a discount. Stop by!

Motorway (from the east)

BAB-Kreuz Feuchtewangen (A7/A6) - head towards Heilbronn, after approx. 35 km take the Kupferzell exit, then drive towards Niedernhall (follow the signs).

Motorway (from the north)

Würzburg - Heilbronn (A81), take the Neuenstadt exit, drive towards Öhringen, shortly before Öhringen take the A6 towards Nürnberg, take the exit Kupferzell, then drive towards Niedernhall (follow the signs).

Motorway (from other directions)

BAB-KreuzWeinsberg (A81/A6) - head towards Nürnberg, take the Kupferzell exit, then drive towards Niedernhall (follow the signs)

Parking

"Park & Ride" options are available on-site - follow the signs. A bus shuttle will bring you to the start/finish area.
